Dr. Edward C. Powell
Dr. Ed Powell was raised in Maryville, Missouri, and graduated from Maryville R-II High School. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Reproductive Physiology at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, he followed his father’s footsteps and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1993. Dr. Ed joined the practice in 1993, and has been practicing veterinary medicine for more then 20 years. He enjoys all aspects of the practice, especially the reproductive services of all the animals.
Dr. Ed serves on numerous veterinary committees and boards. He is a member of various veterinary associations such as the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Missouri Medical Veterinary Association (MVMA), American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP), Society of Theriogenology, and the Academy of Veterinary Consultants (AVC). He enjoys outdoor activities and college sports. He and his wife, Cindy, are the proud parents of two children, Natalie and Clayton Powell.
